MD 720R Ultra-High Capacity Refrigerated Centrifuge is an MRK ultra-High Capacity Refrigerated Centrifuge, with max. speed 8000 r/min, max. RCF 14560 ×g, capacity 6 × 2400 ml, temperature control -20 °C to +40 °C, noise <65 dB(A).

6 × 2400 ml ultra-high capacity at 8,000 r/min — one unit doing the work of several, for high-volume blood products and biopharmaceutical separation.

• 5-inch LCD touchscreen plus a physical keypad for dual-mode operation with a clean interface; maintenance-free AC inverter motor with direct drive for long service life; five one-touch program keys; speed, RCF and temperature shown together on one screen.
• Generous onboard storage for 1,000 program groups with freely configurable step gradients, 100,000 run records and 1,000 fault records, all readable over USB; run status is logged every second with timestamps down to the second for full traceability.
• 15 selectable acceleration and deceleration levels with adjustable ramp times for optimal separation; a 3-axis gyroscope continuously monitors balance throughout the run for safe operation.
• Automatic magnetic rotor identification prevents overspeed use, and accumulated running hours are logged for every rotor so it is never run beyond its service life.
• 25 safety protections covering the lid, overspeed, overtemperature, overcurrent, overvoltage and overheating; a dual-latch lid prevents accidental opening while running.
• User access control with three levels — administrator, operator and guest; three timing modes: count-up, countdown and accumulated timing.
• When the lid is open or the unit has been idle, the compressor and cooling fan shut down automatically to save energy; a precool function shortens the wait before the first run.
